Lisa has been a 20+ year board member of Project Undercover, a 501 (c)3 non profit founded in RI, whose mission is to collect and distribute diapers, wipes, underwear, and socks to 20,000 children under the age of 7 living in poverty. More recently, Lisa is a volunteer for Breath of Hope RI, a state and federally registered non-profit organization, created out of a fierce young Warwick boy's health that has been diagnosed with Idiopathic Pulmonary Hemosiderosis, or IPH in 2023. IPH is a rare and serious lung condition that causes blood to leak into lungs, making every breath a challenge during an acute episode. Many doctors have never even encountered this incurable disease. The non-profit is dedicated to changing the landscape of care for patients with IPH through medical research that enable Landon's physician partners at UNC Children's Hospital to establish a first of its kind, comprehensive registry for patients with IPH. This registry will empower physicians across the country to chronicle IPH symptoms and responses to treatment plans.
In 2017, Lisa was the recipient of the Friend of Adoption Rhode Island award at a ceremony held at the State House, in recognition of her work with donations to teenagers aging out of foster care.
